Didn't your parents tell you not to believe in fairy stories ? Last weeks feel good story about Ian & Bede turned out to be wrong. Due to a level of confusion about scoring an arrow switch manually the published results for the first round of the Restricted Pairs were wrong. Corrected results appear below. However, not to be disheartened Bede & Ian fought back and finished a very credible third overall..

Right place, right time, Bede & Ian hadn't registered for the Intermeduiate pairs Championships and were settling down to play in the Open room on Saturday when Noelle noticed there was a half table in the Intermediate, She suggested they should go in there and play, at the end of the first round they are twenty points clear at the top of the field.

Are you miffed that you can't play in the GNP ? The NSWBA is running a Mixed Pairs State Championship, the final will be in Sydney on the weekend of the GNP qualifying event in Port. If we hold a qualifying event then we can send as many pairs as we wish to Sydney. To claim the Red points on offer for the qualifier at least one pair must go to Sydney. If any of you are prepared to go to Sydney, let me know so we can organise a qualifying event, probably a Thursday in April. Obviously this is not limited to Lifers so anyone will be able to compete.
There is a simialr event in October for Open Pairs, we will consider that one later in the year.
