Notices – Week  3 February,  13th  February  - 19th February 

 A reminder that these notices are for your benefit, please be quiet whilst they are being read. Whilst on the subject, a reminder that you are not to handle the cards until told to by the Director.
New Office shelving has been installed, looks great, thanks to Allana & Stan Stevens for all the work they did.
 Keep Spreading  the Word  - YVONNES LESSONS

·    OPEN DAY – Saturday 25th February 11.30am at the Clubhouse
·    LESSONS commence 9am Monday, 5th March

The lessons run for 10 weeks – cost is $10 per lesson.  If you know anyone who is interested please give their names to Yvonne or call her on 65845766.

There are photocopied brochures on the noticeboard by the storeroom.
There are also limited numbers of the fancy laminated ones for display in prominent places.

 The Club Pairs Championship will be held over three sessions on the 17th & 24th of March, nomination form is on the noticeboard.
To those of you going to the Gold Coast, in case you have forgotten, it starts this weekend. Good Luck and if you want a few tips the victorious Intermediate Team from the Great Lakes Congress are available at a small charge.

Notices – Week 5,  January 29th  - February 4th

The Summer Pairs is on this Thursday, single session red-point event.

The Viv Campbell Shield will be held over two sessions  on the 8th & 15th of February (Wednesday afternoons). Nomination form is on the noticeboard near the office.

The Great Lakes Congress is on the weekend of the 18th & 19th of February. If you haven’t booked your accommodation yet there is still some space on the riverbank in Taree.

Tuesday afternoon bridge is commencing on the 7th of February, that is next week. See you there.

The fixtures book for 2012 is available from the office for all financial members. ( Subtle Hint: Fees are due by Wednesday, after that it is $5 a game.)

Notices – Week 4,  January 23rd – January 28th

The Resticted Pairs Championship will commence  next Saturday afternoon  the 28th of January .  Nomination list is on the noticeboard near the Office.  Standard table fees apply.
The Viv Campbell Shield will be held over two sessions  on the 8th & 15th of February (Wednesday afternoons). Nomination form is on the noticeboard near the office.
The Summer Pairs will be held on Thursday the 2nd of February.
The Great Lakes Congress is on the weekend of the 18th & 19th of February. Apparently there is something else on in Forster  that weekend and accommodation is disappearing rapidly.
Tuesday afternoon bridge is commencing on the 7th of February so it’s time to organise yourself a partner. Tuesday night Teams will continue  as usual.

Bridge is on on Australia Day,  this Thursday.

 

Notices – 14th  January 2012-01-14

The Resticted Pairs Championship will be held during the regular Saturday afternoon session s on the 28th of January  and the 4th of February.  Nomination list is on the noticeboard near the Office. There will be no side game so Intermediates who do not wish to participate will have  to play in the Open room. Standard table fees apply.
The Viv Campbell Shield will be held over two sessions  on the 8th & 15th of February (Wednesday afternoons). Nomination form is on the noticeboard near the office.
The Summer Pairs will be held on Thursday the 2nd of February, nomination form wil be up on the noticeboard shortly.

There is a slight problem with the Telephone Directory,  see the Web page or the Email sent out this morning for an explanation. If you are not tech savy offer to buy the Secretary a beer and he will explain it to you personally.
State Mixed Pairs Championship final will be held on the weekend of the 26/26th of May in Sydney. That is the weekend of the GNP qualifier here in Port.  So lifers there is something for you to do that weekend, let the committee know if you would be prepared to go to Sydney that weekend so we can organise a qualifying event. Bob Hamilton arrived home at 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon. For those that are interested he now has a pig’s valve  for an aortic valve. He is picking up but does not recommend  open heart surgery.  ( I am sure there is a joke in there somewhere about it not being for the faint-hearted.)  Expects to be back at Bridge  in a few weeks.
